This is hard time for Midwesterners like me. Well, Christmas is upon us, and I always enjoy that, but after Christmas is over, we still have a few months of just terrible, horrible weather. At least those of us that hate snow and cold and slippery driving and tremendously high heat bills and always falling that one time on the ice before you remember to walk at a turtle's pace.
On the one hand, Christmas is almost here. That's my favorite holiday.
On the other, Christmas is almost just as nearly past.
I need snow on Christmas Day and none of the other ones.
As you can probably tell, I'm feeling conflicted today. Life is such a "winter in the Midwest" type of feeling. There's good, but sometimes it's hard to find buried beneath the snow.
