So I think I have the outline for the first script completed. It's always subject to change, and it usually does through the first and later drafts, but it's nice to have something. The hardest part about pre-writing is how little you can have to show for a day's work. I've come to realize lately that I need to feel accomplished in my writing to stay sane for the day.
The point is that an outline is finished. I have written out in physical form on paper. Which I think is probably the best way to make an outline. You lose something if you try to outline in digital form. Takes away some of the magic of it or something.
I suppose that's just me trying to assign some kind of mystic power to it or something, some caveman notion that art is old and you can tap into it further by acting like newer technology doesn't exist. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. It doesn't really matter, as long as you manage to get the work done.
And now the question is, like the very end of the last issue of the first arc of Heartbreak World, "where do I go from here?"
Should I outline further? Plan more? Or write and see what happens? Both have their benefits. Both also have their weaknesses.
I suppose as long as the direction is forward, either could work.
